Nessler Medizintechnik, manufacturers of swaromed® and SWAROPLATE® electrodes, have been a family enterprise since 1993 owned and managed by the members of the Nessler family.

Brigitte Nessler is General Manager and has been leading the company since its foundation. Her husband Dr. Norbert Nessler is a physicist by profession and is available to the company for supervision of development projects and scientific issues. His main occupation is Assistant Professor at the Institute of Applied Physics of Innsbruck University where he pursues actively basic research in the field of applied physics and electronics focussing on medical-device related subjects. This strong link between industrial manufacturing and basic university research propels efficient product development at a high level of innovation.

Both sons hold leading positions in the company: Dr. Winfried Nessler joined the company in 1996 after completion of his PhD in solid state physics. His responsibilities are Research and Development, Regulatory Affairs, Quality Management, and Technical Customer Support. Bernhard Nessler whose background is computer science is in charge of process automatisation and network administration.

Nessler have 20 people who together with the familiy members form a highly motivated and effective team devoted to serve the needs of our customers to the best of our ability.

Innsbruck/Austria is located in the centre of the Austrian Alps and is surrounded by the impressive Kalkalpen and Zentralalpen; Though it is a small town, it has its own airport and is conveniently reached by plane, train and car from the main European cities like Vienna, Munich, Milano, Zürich, and Frankfurt. We are only a one hour's flight from the most important European medical fair city Düsseldorf (MEDICA).
